Spring in Magooty Land
We've got loads of fabulous things coming up in the world of Mrs Magooty just now, so here's a little blog to tell you what's going on and how you can join in!
Beadwildered Bead Retreat 12th to 14th April
Firstly in a matter of weeks we have our 11th annual Beadwildered Bead Retreat. This year we've got all the usual fabulous beadwork classes and a particularly exciting Saturday night bonus with a special guest coming to give us a little insight and taster into another craftform.
A Nod to Nouveau at Cass Art, Saturday 4th May
After a lovely time teaching her Kingfisher, Sarah is back at Cass Art on Queen Street in Glasgow on Saturday the forth of May (and also with you ;)
All materials are included, so if you fancy a stress free day of bead embroidery, playing with some lovely sparkly Swarovski crystals and miyuki beads, do get in touch!
Jean Power Masterclass, September 27th to 29th
Before we know it, we'll be back at Gartmore for a second time in 2019, hosting the marvellous Jean Power who has designed not one, but two exclusive pieces for us!
Come along to make this gorgeous Quadrat Box and the sublime Silma Necklace. Have a look here for all the details and how to book.
The amazing Carole Cowie is working with us to provide a beginners course for Gartmore House's activity breaks.
The next beginner weekend is on 13th to 15th September.
It's a brilliant introduction to beadwork, or for those who have dabbled but are now ready for full immersion!
All the info can be found on Gartmore's website here.
Sarah will be down in Daventry at the Great British Bead Show, so do say hello if you're there. Just shout "Who is Mrs Magooty?" at lunch and I'll come over and chat!
Sarah will also be heading up north in May to the blooming lovely Banffshire beaders. We will be doing A Nod to Nouveau and the whole shop will be there too!
And finally watch this space for a VERY exciting project with workshops and a big exhibition coming your way in Autumn 2019...
