A chat, a cuppa and lots of lovely beads!

Hello all!

I don't know about you, but for about six weeks my creativity and most of my playfulness went on holiday without me. There was too much white noise and stress to think about getting crafty, which seemed such a shame as we have so much more time at home. And then, out of the blue, it came back last week and I felt whole again. I hadn't fully realised how much it was missing until it returned!

Although home schooling and trying to piece my self-employed creative career back together are taking priority, I've managed to carve out time to host a Thursday morning beading group on zoom. We were quick off the mark and have been meeting every Thursday at 10 since the 26th March. If you're interested in joining, do let me know.

I've been tackling some big UFOs including some lovely Jean Power designs from our last Masterclass, but now I'm starting to design again... first off is something silly, playful and very, very colourful. More on that later!

Mrs Magooty's shop is just a pop up one, which is always at our Glasgow Beadwildered meetings, often at Edinburgh's Auld Reekie beading group and of course at our annual retreats and masterclasses at Gartmore House. We used to run an etsy shop but as a side hustle, it was just too labour intensive listing thousands of stock lines. So recently, we've been faced with a challenge of how we can connect to our community and continue to support, collaborate and also sell our wares.

This is what our pondering on the dilemma has come up with:

A Bead Personal Shopper service!

Which is a 1-2-1 tailor-made shopping experience on zoom, where Sarah is on hand to talk you through any of our stock range from Miyuki seeds and delicas, to Swarovski crystals and rivolis, to thread, tools and Dot Boxes. It also provides a lovely chance for a chat and we might as well have a cuppa or even a glass of something tempting as part of the process.

The sessions are totally free - you just pay for the beads you buy. There's no hard sell and if you buy £30 or more, you get free postage too. I'll package the beads up whilst we chat and get them in the post to you that day.

If you fancy booking a session, you can do so here, picking a time that suits you.

We can also cater for group sessions - just book an individual session and email us to add people in.

I hope I get the chance to have a sparkly beady chat with you at some point soon!

Sarah xxx
